Fosu Mensah completed a season-long loan to SE25 in August 2017 to link up once again with Frank de Boer, who previously oversaw his progress in the Ajax youth ranks.
The defender, who can operate as a full-back, win-back or in defensive midfield, began his career with the Amsterdam giants before moving to England in 2014 when he joined Manchester United.
He made his professional debut at left-back in February 2016 for the Red Devils as he joined the game from the bench in 3-2 Premier League victory against Arsenal, and went on and made 21 appearances in all competitions for United, with his last game coming at Old Trafford against Palace on the final day of the 2016/17 campaign. A few months later, he made his Eagles debut in the Premier League opener against Huddersfield Town.
Having represented Netherlands at younger age groups, his move and subsequent form for Palace saw him win his first international cap against France in August 2017, and he continues to be named in Oranje squads as they build for the future.
