Date of birth
Having been at the club since the age of eight, Boateng made his first-team debut against Stoke City in an FA Cup tie in January 2013 just after his 17th birthday.
Boateng would also feature in the competition the following season in the third round victory at West Bromwich Albion before a short spell at Crawley Town where he made his league bow.
The 2015/16 campaign would see him win the Eagles' Development Player of the Year after spending the majority of the season on loan at Plymouth Argyle, whom he helped to the League Two play-off final where they lost to AFC Wimbledon.
As well as his exploits with the Pilgrims, Boateng made his Premier League debut against Swansea City in February 2016, and would join Bristol Rovers on loan for the first half of 2016/17, before switching to Northampton Town mid-season.
