After struggling with injuries throughout the 2017/18 campaign, Dreher suffered again in 18/19 but has recently been edging his way back into regular football.
The central midfielder enjoyed a fine 2015/16 as he came through the Academy side to become a regular in the Development team despite being only 17, and was named on the first-team bench for a Premier League game at Manchester United in April 2016.
The following month he won the club's Under-18 Player of the Year, and played for the first-team in pre-season. He was once again named on the bench for the Eagles' trip to Middlesbrough in September, but then injuries plagued his progression over the following 18 months.
His resilience was rewarded on the final day of the 2018/19 season, however, when Roy Hodgson handed him his Premier League debut as a substitute against AFC Bournemouth.
Recently, he signed a contract extension until 2021.
