Crystal Palace Football Club collaborated with two of the fastest-growing companies in their field to provide a ground-breaking matchday networking sponsorship experience on Saturday February 2nd, 2013, as the Eagles maintained their push for promotion to the Premier League with a 2 – 1 defeat of Charlton Athletic in the npower Championship at Selhurst Park. The local specialist letting agent and tenant "rated" website TenantsHistory.co.uk collaborated to invite landlords from key territories within the south London and Surrey area as Leaders Lettings’ hospitality guests on matchday.
Kim Evans, Area Manager of Leaders Lettings, said, "We had a great day and enjoyed the chance to discuss mutual business interests in a more relaxed and informal environment. This allowed us to get to know our guests, enjoy the atmosphere and hopefully for us to portray ourselves as a personable and approachable agent with local interest and expertise. Our relationship with TenantsHistory.co.uk allowed us to reach an audience we otherwise might not have had the chance to reach. We were able to give our guests personal advice as well as offer overall information on our wider services."
Steven Hanbury, Managing Director of Tenants History, said, "When Leaders Letting Agency and Crystal Palace Football Club approached us to work on this project we did not have to think twice. It was so refreshing to hear such an innovative idea and to be part of it was an honour. All the landlords that we invited to this fantastic event said it was a pleasure to meet the Leaders Team, and to hear about their services in such an informal environment was a pleasure. Our aim was to create an element of trust between landlord, tenant and lettings industry and this has been achieved."
Guests of Leaders local landlords Sue and Darren Turner agreed: "We would like to thank Leaders for a fantastic day on Saturday at Selhurst Park. We were very impressed and will be doing business in the very near future. Many thanks."
Palace’s Senior Commercial Sales Kevin Miller was delighted with the day. He said: "Our matchday network sponsorship package enabled Leaders to get their message out to key landlords in the region in a more relaxed and informal way. This approach is different to the more traditional ways of customer engagement, and generates a huge rapport between company and client, hopefully generating new business and new contacts. I’m delighted that the day went so well, and would like to thank Allison Thompson, Kim Evans, David Montero and Rachael Board at Leaders Lettings, and Steve Hanbury at Tenants History.co.uk for working so hard over the last few months to make the event such a success."
