A group of Crystal Palace stewards are keeping a stiff upper lip in their bid to raise money for charity.
Mark Sawyer, Barry Whitby, Gary Green, Gary Winters and Aaron Leigh have all been growing moustaches in support of this year’s Movember.
The annual movement challenges men to grow a moustache for the 30-days of November, thereby changing their appearance and the face of men’s health.
The stewards initially heard about the men’s charity last season, when a host of Palace stars including Mile Jedinak, Damien Delaney, Owen Garvan and Peter Ramage sported moustaches to raise funds and awareness for prostate and testicular cancer.
And this season the Palace stewards have been inspired to take part in the global movement after their much-loved colleague, Charlie Morgan, lost his battle with cancer.
The group have set an initial fund-raising target of £500, which they are now closing in on and are hopeful of surpassing – with a little help from Crystal Palace fans.
