Chambers Joins Welling On Loan

24 October 2014

Eagles development defender Michael Chambers has joined Welling United on a one month loan deal.

The 20-year-old was signed from Dulwich Hamlet as an under-18 player and after a season at that level has gone on to become a regular for Gary Issott's under-21 side, playing 12 times last season and making a further six appearances this campaign.

This is the centre-back's first stint away from the club and he will spend the next month plying his trade in the Conference Premier for the Wings, who currently sit 17th in the table just two points away from the relegation zone.

Chambers joins fellow under-21 squad members Jerome Binnom-Williams, Alex Wynter, David Gregory and Ryan Inniss out on loan as they aim to continue their development in the Football League and lower down the English pyramid.
