Newcastle secured their spot at the same stage with a commanding 5-2 win over Portsmouth, as Matheos Ferreira’s hat-trick and a brace from Michael Mills underlined the Magpies’ attacking threat in the Third Round.

The hosts boast a strong FA Youth Cup pedigree, having lifted the trophy twice – in 1962 and 1985, the latter featuring future England star Paul Gascoigne. More recently, Newcastle reached the quarter-finals in both 2016/17 and 2020/21, narrowly missing out on further progress on each occasion.

The young Eagles didn’t begin 2026 in the manner they would have hoped, suffering a 3-1 defeat to West Bromwich Albion in the U18s Premier League South – a result which saw Palace relinquish top spot in the division.

Attention now turns firmly to the FA Youth Cup, where Palace progressed impressively in the previous round. Palace secured their place in the Fourth Round with a deserved 3-0 victory over Category Three side Bradford City, played under the lights at Selhurst Park.

At this stage of the FA Youth Cup, if a match is level after 90 minutes, 30 minutes of extra time will be played (two 15-minute halves). Should the scores remain level, the tie will be decided by a penalty shoot-out.

Fresh from a trophy-laden season with Athlone Town, where she picked up the Player of the Year award and secured a historic double, the forward is now ready to make her mark in South London.

Reflecting on her journey from the United States to the professional game in England, Brady spoke about the lifelong dream of playing on these shores.

Despite being born in the United States, Brady represents Ireland – and was called up to Carla Ward’s squad alongside Abbie Larkin, Hayley Nolan and Ruesha Littlejohn in November last year.

Speaking about how she got started with football, Brady said: "I started at five years old, just as any other child does - I developed a love for it and I’m glad I stuck with it. 

"Growing up in the States, you hear all about English football, and that was a dream for me to one day come over and play here.

"I didn't think the opportunity would come so early in my career, but I'm very thankful that Palace signed me. I’m just excited to see what I can do."

While she grew up in New York, Brady’s connection to her heritage has always been a driving force.

Her father hails from County Monaghan in the North East of Ireland, and she spent many summers there - even playing competitive Gaelic Football (GAA).

"My dad's from Castleblayney and my mum’s father is from Scotland, so I have a lot of Irish ties.

"I finally got over there when I was 12 and was playing in the FALS (Gaelic Football) - I loved it, it was super competitive.

"Ireland really did feel like a second home. I came over there not really knowing what to expect for my future in football, but I loved the league and it has been a good pathway across the pond," Brady said.

It's just the name: 'Crystal Palace.' It's super prestigious to me. 

Brady joins a Palace side currently riding a wave of momentum, following a run of four consecutive WSL2 wins in a row.

The prestige of the club was a major factor in the forward’s decision to swap Dublin for London this January.

She said: "The team has been on such a great run with four consecutive wins, so for me, I’m just hoping to put my head down, work hard, and make an impact as best I can.

"This league and this team are full of incredibly talented girls. I’m just trying my best to break into the side and do what I can every day to make everybody around me better. 

"We know the top of the table is very competitive, but we know it's within our reach. We’re just taking it week by week."

#### **WHAT IS BIKE FROM ARSENAL: THE 100 MILE TOUR?**

Since 2020, Palace fans have taken on our annual away-day cycling challenges, covering more than 620 miles to destinations including Bournemouth (twice), Southampton, Aston Villa and Wolves, raising over £175,000 for us in the process.

We’re now on the hunt for riders of all abilities to take on Bike from Arsenal: The 100 Mile Tour, our sixth cycling challenge which starts in North London through hills back to Selhurst, to help push that total even higher.

2026’s ride is a two-day cycling event between the 23rd and 24th May, taking riders 134 miles from the Emirates Stadium in North London through Hertfordshire, the Chilterns, Berkshire, back through Surrey and into Selhurst Park for Palace’s final game of the season against Arsenal.

#### **WHERE DOES BIKE FROM ARSENAL: THE 100 MILE TOUR GO?**

Don’t let the name fool you, we’ll be taking the long way home back to South London!

The ride begins at Arsenal’s Emirates Stadium and takes on a 134-mile journey through countryside, towns and villages before finishing at Selhurst Park for Palace’s final game of the 2025/26 Premier League season against Arsenal.

**Day 1 (100 miles)**

- Roll out from the Emirates and head north west through Barnet and into St Albans
- Climb into the Chiltern Hills, passing through Chesham, Wendover, Chinnor Watlington and Woodcote
- Cross the Thames at Pangbourne before looping south of Reading and into Bracknell for a well-earned overnight stop

**Day 2 (34 miles)**

- Set off again through Ascot, Virginia Water, Chertsey and Walton-on-Thames
- Re-enter London via Kingston, New Malden and Wimbledon
- Ride the final stretch across Mitcham Common and down Whitehorse Lane to complete your journey at Selhurst Park

The cycle is not a race. You can go at your own pace and will be fully supported by our experienced ride leaders. 

Riders will be split into smaller groups based on ability, each led by an experienced cyclist who will guide the route, set the pace and keep everyone safe along the way.

There are two options:

- With a match ticket – £150 (limited to 30 riders)
- Without a match ticket – £125 (unlimited)

**The ‘with a ticket’ package is limited to 30 riders. The ‘without a ticket’ option has no cap, so anyone can choose it, whether you plan to use your season ticket or skip the game**

Palace for Life are looking for Palace fans to take on their next annual cycling challenge, taking riders on a 134-mile ride from North London via rolling countryside to Selhurst Park – all to raise money that directly changes lives in South London.

At the time, Palace were firmly in the midst relegation battle and with Tottenham comfortably in the top-half of the Premier League, most were expecting a tough afternoon for the hosts.

With the likes of Ledley King, Michael Carrick, Jermain Defoe and Robbie Keane in the opposition team, Iain Dowie's Eagles would have to be at their best to get a result.

What followed was a remarkable performance - Palace managing to blow away the January blues in the space of just 13 second-half minutes.

Tottenham had dominated the opening 45, but Eagles goalkeeper Gabor Kiraly stood firm, making excellent saves from Reto Ziegler and Dean Marney.

The game then turned just after the hour mark. Mikele Leigertwood, who had one of his best afternoons in a Palace shirt, drove into the box and crashed home Tom Soares' cross.

Selhurst was then bouncing and Spurs crumbled. Danny Granville slid home a second only six minutes after the first to put Palace firmly in control.

As was often the case that season, Andy Johnson was then able to get in on the act to complete a perfect performance.

Johnson was fouled by Pedro Mendes in the box and proved as reliable as ever from the spot, picking himself up to fire home the third from 12 yards. It was one of 11 penalties Johnson scored that season, still a Premier League record to this day.

The win was Palace's joint-biggest win of the season and formed part of a run of just one home defeat in three months at the turn of the year, with Dowie's team finding their feet in the top-flight.

Although the season did ultimately ended in relegation, the victory over Tottenham was still a memorable day for the Eagles - one of the standout highlights of a difficult campaign.

On this day 21 years ago, Crystal Palace produced their best performance of the season to stun fellow Londoners Tottenham on a memorable day at Selhurst Park.

**All tickets are Digital tickets, and will be emailed to the lead booker.** These should then be downloaded into your ticket wallet via the Official Crystal Palace app or through the email you receive.

All supporters at Selhurst Park matches will be seated. We recommend purchasing all tickets online, in advance of each match, to ensure you don’t miss out.

Blocks D, E, F and G in the Main Stand will be on sale for Palace supporters for this fixture. Our dedicated singing section will be in Block 2 in the Whitehorse Lane stand.

Away fans will be situated in Block B.

A limited number of **Directors Box seats** will also be available for the match at Selhurst Park; please see below for further details.
