Development left-back Christian Scales has joined Crawley Town on loan until January.
The 18-year-old featured for the Eagles first-team during pre-season and was included in the travelling party to South Africa for the Cape Town Cup last month, but will get his first taste of league football at the Broadfield Stadium for the remainder of 2015.
He arrived at the club last season and after impressing for the under-18 side was promoted into the development squad, making five appearances towards the end of the campaign.
The Red Devils are still awaiting their first victory of the season having drawn two of their three League Two games so far this term, having dropped into the fourth tier after being relegated last season from League One. They have also exited the Capital One Cup at the hands of Peterborough United.
Scales becomes another Eagle to move to Crawley on loan in recent years, the list includes Hiram Boateng, Sullay Kaikai and Lewis Price.
