Seven Eagles Return From Loan Spells

2 January 2015

Seven Crystal Palace players have returned to SE25 after their loan spells expired, including Glenn Murray and Jonathan Williams.

Murray has spent the past four months on loan at Championship side Reading, scoring eight times in his 18 appearances. He ended his stint in Berkshire by scoring three times in the past four games, including a brace against former club Brighton and Hove Albion on Boxing Day.

Welsh international Williams signed for Ipswich Town on loan in September and made five appearances for the Tractor Boys, scoring in the first of those games against Sheffield Wednesday. However a groin injury prevented him from playing from early November, but he is back in training with the Eagles.

Adlene Guedioura has also returned to the club having spent a month at Watford. He played six games for the Hornets and signed off in style with two superb goals against Cardiff City last Sunday.

Patrick McCarthy has also seen his loan spell at Sheffield United come to an end. The central defender signed for an initial month long deal in October, but some impressive form for the Blades saw them extend that deal until the turn of the year. In total he made 11 appearances in Yorkshire, scoring one goal.

Full-back Jack Hunt has returned to Palace having signed on loan for Nottingham Forest at the start of the season, and made 19 appearances under Stuart Pearce. Stuart O'Keefe is also back after playing four games during a month-long stint at Blackpool and Lewis Price made the same amount of appearances for Crawley Town during his month at the Broadfield Stadium.
