Williams And Fryers Sign For Ipswich

26 March 2015

Crystal Palace duo Jonny Williams and Zeki Fryers have both signed on loan for Ipswich Town until the end of the season.

It is the third time that Williams has joined the Tractor Boys on a temporary deal in the last 13 months, having initially signed for the club in February 2014 where he played 13 times in the Championship, scoring once.

The Welsh international then returned to Portman Road earlier this season where he made five appearance, and again finding the back of the net once, before that stint was cut short due to a groin injury.

Now back training again, the 21-year-old will return to Mick McCarthy's men who currently occupy a play-off spot in the Championship, sitting sixth in the table just five points from an automatic promotion place.

Williams will be joined in Suffolk by Fryers, who recently completed a loan spell at Rotherham United.

The full-back was signed from Tottenham Hotspur on transfer deadline day last autumn, and played twice for the Eagles before joining the Millers on loan in January, going on to make 10 appearances for them.
