Speroni Extends Eagles Stay

22 May 2015

Julian Speroni's contract has been extended for a further year until the end of next season.

The shot-stopper will remain in SE25 for at least another 12 months following the activation of a contractual clause agreed by both parties.

That will mean that Speroni, 36, will enter his 12th season with the Eagles after signing from Dundee back in 2004.

"I have one more season on my contract and am really enjoying playing in the Premier League," he said. "I’ve said many times this is my home, I will retire here if I can.”

His lengthy service with the club has been rewarded with a testimonial against the Dark Blues which will take place on Tuesday 26th May at Selhurst Park, and tickets for the game are still available.

A host of former Eagles stars will be on show including Clinton Morrison, Danny Butterfield and Aki Riihilahti, and you can be there to show your support for a Palace legend.

Adults tickets are just £20 with concessions gaining entry for just £5, and you can buy your tickets online here.
