Development defender Luke Croll has signed for Plymouth Argyle on loan until the 2nd January 2016.
The centre-back will be reunited with fellow Palace loanee Hiram Boateng at Home Park, who has helped the Pilgrims to the top of the League Two table since singing on a season-long loan deal in the summer.
Having featured for Alan Pardew’s side three times during pre-season, 19-year-old Croll has made 11 appearances for the under-21 side this campaign, and was named on the first-team bench for the first time in the Eagles’ away win against Watford in September.
Speaking to Palace’s matchday programme last month, he stated he was looking to gain some match action further down the pyramid, saying: “My goal at the beginning of the season was to go out on loan and get some league experience and I still have that same goal if I’m not playing here, but if I can be involved in more matchday squads then hopefully that will help that too.”
Croll could make his professional debut tomorrow when Plymouth host Exeter City in a West County derby, as they aim to extend their five point lead at the top of the table.
