Kaikai Joins Shrewsbury On Loan

17 September 2015

Crystal Palace winger Sullay Kaikai has joined Shrewsbury Town on loan until 16th January 2016.

Kaikai was named on the bench against the Shrews when the two sides met in the Capital One Cup last month but didn't make it onto the field for the second time in his Eagles career, having scored in his only game for the club as a substitute against Newcastle United in the same competition last season.

The 20-year-old has made five appearances for Palace's development side so far this term, scoring once, and embarks on his third loan move in as many seasons having turned out for Crawley Town and Cambridge United over the past couple of years, winning the U's Young Player of the Year award last season as well as Palace's equivalent.

Micky Melon's side have been in great form since the sides met in the League Cup, winning three of their four matches since to help them to 16th place in League One, and Kaikai could make his debut on Saturday when they host local rivals Crewe Alexandra.
