Joel Ward was thrilled to make his 100th Premier League appearance for Crystal Palace, becoming the first player to do so, in the 1-1 draw away to Arsenal.
"I think it's massive. I think it's the first time in the club's history and to reach that sort of milestone is kind of a dream!" Ward said after the game. "I'm very fortunate to be playing for the club and to have the fans supporting us and for their continued support throughout my career so far.
"It's incredible to look back and see that I've made it to 100 for Palace," he added.
The draw secured Palace's first ever point at The Emirates and Ward was quick to praise the Eagles' defensive display, as well as Yannick Bolasie, who popped up with a late equaliser - his first goal in 2016.
"It was massive, it was massive," Ward enthused about the defensive display. "When we look back at this it'll be seen as a huge point.
"To do it here is always going to be tough, they keep the ball very well and create a lot of chances, but we dug in deep and kept on it and we knew if it stayed at 1-0 at half time we would have a chance and that we would create something in the game.
"Thankfully Yannick's come up with a great strike and got us a point."
