Townsend Changes Shirt Number

19 August 2016

Following a request from Andros Townsend, it has been agreed by the club that he will play in the No.10 shirt with effect from Saturday’s game at Tottenham Hotspur.
Crystal Palace and Andros appreciate that a number of shirts have already been purchased by supporters with his original number so are offering the opportunity to get a new shirt with Townsend and No.10 on the back, free of charge.
Andros Townsend said: “The number 10 is one of the most iconic numbers in the game and with it becoming available I wanted to take the opportunity to snap it up. Hopefully I can do the number justice.
“Of course I’ve seen that a few people have bought the shirt and it would be wrong for me to leave them out of pocket, so if anyone who has happened to buy the shirt with the number 17 - I’m hugely grateful - and if they want to send it in then I’ll be happy to pay for them to swap it for the new number.”
Supporters can send in their shirts or bring them in person, the club store is open Monday to Friday 9am until 5.30pm and on Saturday from 9am.
