Crystal Palace are pleased to confirm that Damien Delaney and Julian Speroni have signed one-year extensions to their current contracts with the club.
The pair’s original deals had been due to run out this summer but both have agreed to stay on for a further season in SE25 to continue their combined 15 years of service with the Eagles.
Delaney, 34, has been a constant presence in the Palace’s first-team since signing in August 2012, helping them to win promotion from the Championship and remain in the Premier League for what will be a record fourth consecutive campaign. He has played 157 times in his four seasons at Selhurst Park, scoring seven times.
Speroni, 37, has played 388 times since signing for Palace back in 2004 and equalled John Jackson’s club appearance record as a goalkeeper in all competitions on the final day of the Premier League season last month. He is the longest-serving player currently at Palace and will now enter his 13th season with the Eagles sitting equal-fourth in the all-time appearance standings.
