Inniss Heads to Colchester On Loan

31 August 2017

Eagles development defender Ryan Inniss has joined Colchester United on a season-long loan deal.

The 22-year-old centre-back has signed for the League Two side in what is the eighth loan move of his career, having spent last season on loan at Southend United in the tier above, where he made 12 appearances during an injury-hit season.

Inniss has come through the Palace academy but has yet to make his first-team bow, instead amassing plenty of experience in the Football League at Cheltenham Town, Luton Town, Gillingham, Yeovil Town and Port Vale as well as the Shrimpers, playing 50 times across four seasons.

Managed by John McGreal, Colchester narrowly missed out on a play-off spot in the fourth tier last season, and are currently 16th in the table having taken four points from their four games.
