Palace midfielder Jonny Williams has joined Championship side Sunderland on a season-long loan deal.
The Eagles academy graduate will spend the rest of the 2017/18 campaign on Wearside trying to help the Black Cats return to the Premier League, having lost their Premier League status last term.
The 23-year-old, who has been at Palace since the age of seven, has plenty of experience of life in the second tier of English football, having debuted for the Eagles at that level back in 2011 and winning promotion to the top-flight two years later. He has also represented Ipswich Town, Nottingham Forest and MK Dons on loan over the past four seasons, and has 87 Championship games under his belt.
As well as this, Williams has won 17 caps for Wales since debuting in 2013, and played four times in Euro 2016 as the Red Dragons made it to the semi-finals.
He will link up with Sunderland after returning from international duty with Chris Coleman’s side, who face crucial World Cup qualifiers against Austria and Moldova over the next week.
