One of the final deals to be completed on the closing of the summer transfer window saw defender, Mamadou Sakho, complete his signing from Liverpool.
Frank de Boer has been impressed with the influence the 27 year old has had this week as Sakho works with the backroom team to get himself back to a level of fitness that would see him in contention for a place in the first team matchday squad.
"I am delighted to have Mamadou here at the club, he was one of our targets in the window to sign for Crystal Palace. He has been here this week and is looking good and is already a very good influence in the dressing room and out on the training pitch.
"We are seeing what an impact he is having with his positive attitude and therefore very pleased that he is here."
Sakho made eight appearances during his successful loan spell at the end of last season and the manager has pencilled in his first game following his return.
"Mamadou Sakho is not quite match fit but he is looking good and has worked very hard this week and could probably play 35 minutes for the Under 23 side on Monday."
