Reid Joins Coaching Staff

16 September 2017

Roy Hodgson has made a further addition to his backroom team with the appointment of Steven Reid as First Team Coach.

Reid, 36, has worked on the Reading coaching staff for the past two years after joining them from Burnley when he decided to end his playing days following one season in the north-west.

On the international scene he gained 23 caps for Ireland and was part of their squad at the 2002 World Cup.

Steven began his playing career at Millwall, playing 166 times for the Lions before a move to Premier League Blackburn Rovers in 2003. Reid made 100 appearances during his time at Ewood Park.

He moved to the West Midlands, enjoying four successful seasons at West Brom, including playing under Roy Hodgson during his time in charge at The Hawthorns.
