Following Crystal Palace's tough to take 3-2 loss away to West Ham United, captain Luka Milivojevic spoke with Premier League Productions to offer up his thoughts on the match.
Assessing the team's performance, he said, "We started well, we scored the first goal and we controlled the second half. At the end [of the first-half], I had a free-kick and hit the bar. The first-half was something from which we can take some positives. In the second-half, we tried to change. We tried to change to take some control of the game, we tried to keep more possession and go from left to right."
But whatever the team may have played like at respective periods in the game, the day's hosts still managed to net three times to win at the end of play. Milivojevic expressed his disappointment, saying, "I think it's unacceptable to concede three goals, especially in the second-half. We pushed more to try and equalise but in the end, they won. We can take a big, big lesson from this game.
"Every single goal in football is a mistake. I'm not blaming anyone, this is a collective game and when we win, we win together. When we lose, we lose together. I think this is a big lesson for us, we were very poor at the beginning of the second-half. We didn't think enough when we attacked about what's happening behind us. I hope we're going to learn from this.
"To be honest, we didn't deserve to lose. That's 100% my opinion."
