Cabaye Bids Farewell To Palace Fans

4 July 2018

Yohan Cabaye has thanked the Palace supporters for their support after he joined UAE side Al Nasr.

The Frenchman’s contract expired at Selhurst Park on 1st July and opted to move to the Middle East club, ending his three-year stint in south London where he made 109 appearances and scored 10 goals following his arrival from Paris St Germain.

Posting a message on his Instagram account, he said: “First of all, I would like to say thank you to everyone involved at the Palace family. You’ve been amazing with me since day one and it’s been a pleasure to work alongside you.

“You will always be special to me and I’ll never forget my time at Selhurst. Huge thank you to the fans also - if we are still in the Prem, it’s also because of your support! So thank you, I’m gonna miss you and I wish you all the best this season.

“Now I’m an Al Nasr player and I’m excited to start my new chapter.”

Eagles chairman Steve Parish paid tribute to Cabaye, saying: “I spoke to Yohan yesterday and he explained he wanted a different challenge.

“We wish him all the best and thank him for his time at Palace. We had some great moments together and he will always be welcome back.”
