Roy Hodgson has revealed that Scott Dann will be assessed as to whether he can play in Crystal Palace's home clash with Aston Villa tomorrow, with the defender having damaged his hand against Colchester United on Tuesday night.
Hodgson said that he and his staff would have to "decide in the morning [tomorrow] whether or not he's going to be fit enough to play" after the long-serving Palace man had his hand "trampled" against The U's and is now wearing a cast.
Turning his attention to the rest of Palace's squad, Hodgson provided another update on centrebacks James Tomkins and Mamadou Sakho, offering a more positive update on the pair's recovery this week.
He said: "James Tomkins is on the brink of recovery but not training with the team fully as we would like[...] We’ve been waiting on the recovery of Tomkins and Sakho. I’m fully expecting them to be fully recovered by the end of this international break."
