Roy Hodgson has provided an injury update ahead of Crystal Palace's home game with Manchester United tonight, stating that centre-back Mamadou Sakho will not be in contention to play.
Sakho limped off the field against Leicester City on Saturday, being replaced by Scott Dann in the 77th minute.
Hodgson explained that the Frenchman will not be able to shore up the Eagles' defence tomorrow, saying: "We don't know yet, he's being assessed. We have to wait and see what the diagnosis is. But he won't be playing tomorrow, that I can obviously state. I can't yet comment on how serious or minor the injury is."
Hodgson did not comment on any other members of the Palace squad.
For United, there are a host of injuries. Ander Herrera, Jesse Lingard and Juan Mata were all taken off against Liverpool on Sunday and will not feature tomorrow. Marcus Rashford has a slim chance of playing but it is unlikely while Matteo Darmian, Anthony Martial, Antonio Valencia, Phil Jones and Marcos Rojo also cannot play.
