Roy Hodgson believes that Palace can still achieve a high finish in the Premier League this term, but must take each game at a time.
The Eagles currently sit one place, but five points, below Saturday's opponents Leicester City in 13th place. Asked whether his side were still in with a chance of a top 10 finish, the boss said: "I think we have."
"Although, I think we've handicapped ourselves with the points that we've dropped up until now," he added. "But yes, I still believe that the quality of the team - and the way they work together - and their own determination to move up the table is something which gives me great satisfaction, great heart.
Hodgson continued, stressing the difficulty of picking up points in the top flight.
"Every point in this league, let alone every victory, is something which has to be fought for and you maybe even need a little bit of luck on your side to get that point, or those three points," he said.
"All you can hope for is that the team's going to go there well prepared, well capable and believing that they're going to do it. I think that's what will be the case for us tomorrow against Leicester and then we'll have to see what the game throws up."
