Scott Dann will make his first appearance in just over a year for Crystal Palace as he has been named in Roy Hodgson’s starting line-up against Grimsby Town.
The centre-back is one of nine changes to the side that beat Wolves on Wednesday night, with only Wilfried Zaha and Andros Townsend given the nod to play again.
Wayne Hennessey returns in goal behind a back four that includes Dann partnered by Martin Kelly in the heart of defence, with Pape Souare and Joel Ward in the full-back positions. Jeffrey Schlupp and Max Meyer are joined in midfield by Jairo Riedewald who makes his first Selhurst appearance of the season.
Alexander Sørloth is given the nod to start in attack hoping to feed off Zaha and Townsend’s inclusions, while the likes of Jordan Ayew, Connor Wickham and Cheikhou Kouyaté are named on the bench.
Grimsby meanwhile have made one change to the team that lost 1-0 to Mansfield Town on New Year’s Day, with Ben Pringle dropping out of the team in place of Martyn Woolford. New signing Sebastian Ring is named on the bench.
