The Colombia international joined Palace in January 2024 and won a firm place in the hearts of supporters with 11 goals and 16 assists in 109 matches, winning the FA Cup, Community Shield and UEFA Conference League with the club.
Muñoz’s impact during his time with us will go down in history, having provided the assist for Ebere Eze’s FA Cup-winning goal against Manchester City and won the Man of the Match award on that historic day. He also went on to win both the fans’ Player, and Players’ Player, of the Season awards in the 2024/25 campaign.
During that season, he netted vital goals against Millwall and Brighton & Hove Albion – the latter completing Palace’s first-ever top-flight league double over our rivals.
Muñoz impact continued last season as he scored the club’s first-ever goal in major continental competition against Dynamo Kyiv and went on to feature 12 times in our trophy-winning debut European campaign.
Chairman Steve Parish said: “Danny has given us many magical moments down the years and rightly earned his place in the club’s history books.
“Everybody at Selhurst Park thanks him for his service and wishes him well.”
