The 22-year-old winger's creativity has seen him shine since moving to Denmark in 2023, making 121 appearances for Midtjylland, contributing 25 goals and 18 assists and winning two domestic trophies.
Born in the Chilean city of Hijuelas, Osorio rose to prominence with Primera División outfit Universidad de Chile, where he progressed from academy level to the first-team at the age of 17 in 2021.
He made his professional debut the following year, scoring against Colo-Colo in the Summer International Tournament in Argentina, before going on to make 51 appearances and score 11 goals for Universidad.
Osorio joined Midtjylland in the summer of 2023 and quickly established himself as an integral figure, making over 120 appearances and helping them claim the Danish Superliga title in his first season. The following season, he won the division's Goal of the Season award.
He added further silverware last season, starting the Danish Cup Final as Midtjylland defeated arch-rivals Copenhagen 1-0 to lift the trophy.
Osorio has made a flying start to 2026/27, registering two goals and three assists in 11 appearances for Midtjylland, and has also collected 22 senior caps for Chile since making his debut in 2022, scoring twice.
He becomes our 11th signing of the summer, after Óscar Mingueza, Takehiro Tomiyasu, Dwight McNeil, Evann Guessand, Anan Khalaili, Zavier Gozo, Axel Disasi, Honest Ahanor, Ben Chilwell and Quinten Timber.
Osorio said: "I’m very excited to be here. It’s a dream I’ve had since I was a child to play in the Premier League – and I can’t wait to get out there and play."
Chairman Steve Parish said: "Darío is a hugely promising young player whose development has caught our attention, and we are thrilled to bring him to Crystal Palace.
“He joins a talented young squad with a wealth of international experience – and plenty of room to grow – and we are delighted to have him as part of what we are building here in South London.”
