Hailing from Saitama Prefecture in Japan, Tsunoda began her career at WE League team Urawa Reds. Throughout her three years at the club, she made 47 appearances and scored five goals, winning five domestic honours including two league titles.
Her fine form in Japan then earned Tsunoda a move to Brighton in September 2025. She notched 13 appearances in her debut campaign, scoring twice in the Barclays Women’s Super League - most notably bagging the opener in a 1-1 draw with Arsenal.
The 21-year-old has also represented Japan at Under-16, Under-19 and Under-20 level.
Manager Jo Potter said: “We are delighted to have Fuka here. She is an exciting talent and I look forward to seeing what she can bring to Palace.”
Upon signing, Tsunoda said: “I'm really excited to be in South London. I can't wait to play for you all soon.”
