Rak-Sakyi wins Premier League 2 Player of the Month

Rak-Sakyi saw off competition from players from Manchester City, Manchester United and others to secure the award, after a barnstorming month which saw him score three times in three games, including in crucial victories over Tottenham Hotspur and Brighton & Hove Albion.

It continues a remarkable season for the young forward, who has now scored 15 goals in 21 appearances and made his Premier League debut at Stamford Bridge in August.

The teenager has been training with Patrick Vieira's first-team squad in recent weeks as he continues to learn from the senior professionals at the club.

The shortlist - which included several recent Premier League debutants - was chosen by the Premier League Football Development Panel after PL2 club coaches nominated the best performance by an opposing player in each of their league matches during the month.
