The Eagles’ first-ever major European venture began with a 1-0 play-off win over Norwegian Cup holders Fredrikstad in August, sealing our place in the league phase of the competition.
We were duly drawn for home matches against AZ Alkmaar (Netherlands, a 3-1 win), KuPS KUOPIO (Finland, a 2-2 draw) and AEK Larnaca (Cyprus, a 0-1 defeat) at Selhurst Park – along with away matches against Dynamo Kyiv (Ukraine, a 2-0 win), RC Strasbourg (France, a 1-2 defeat) and Shelbourne FC (Republic of Ireland, a 3-0 win).
We were then drawn to face Bosnia & Herzegovina's HSK Zrinjski Mostar in the play-off round, ahead of which an updated squad list was submitted.
