The Daggers returned to National League South – Step Two of the English Football Pyramid – following relegation in 2024/25 and finished the 2025/26 campaign in 13th place with 64 points, 13 points outside the play-off positions.
It has been a period of change at Victoria Road, with significant new investment arriving in recent months, including a minority stake acquired by YouTube personality KSI, raising the club’s profile ahead of the new campaign.
There has also been managerial change, with Lee Bradbury departing before former Premier League and England striker Andy Carroll took interim charge. Lee Allison has since been appointed first-team manager, with Carroll remaining as player-assistant manager as the club continues an active summer rebuild with several new additions to the squad.
