On Wednesday, Goodman helped Dundee to a 3-1 victory over Kilmarnock, producing a string of impressive saves before providing the assist for a stoppage-time clincher.
The 22-year-old was particularly impressive after the break, producing a magnificent save to deny Joe Hugill, who looked certain to score after meeting the ball with a fierce volley, only for Goodman to react superbly and get a strong hand to it, turning it over the bar. He then again kept out the same forward from distance.
Kilmarnock had drawn level, but Dundee regained the lead with 10 minutes remaining. Goodman then helped put the result beyond doubt in stoppage time, launching a long ball forward which Ashley Hay nodded into his path before racing through to head past the stranded ‘keeper and into an empty net.
There was less to celebrate on Saturday, however, as the Dee fell to a 2-1 defeat against St Mirren in Paisley, with Storm Boelo making for difficult conditions in the Scottish Premiership encounter.
