The midfielder was a near ever-present on the road to winning the Conference League, appearing in all but one of Palace's 19 European fixtures in 2025/26.
Now Wharton is targeting another full tilt at European competition and says the experience from winning silverware in Leipzig last year will prove invaluable.
"It's exciting for us as players and the club," he said at the pre-match press conference. "Going off last year, our first time in Europe, it was a new step for the club and we all embraced it.
"Obviously we were very successful. I think it can be the same this year.
"We've not been in the Europa League before, so everybody wants to embrace it and take it in their stride.
"Last year, of course we wanted to win it, but we'd never been in it [Europe] before so we didn't really know what to expect.
"I think it's the same here. I don't see why we can't go very far, and try and win it. That's the aim."
