A lifelong Palace supporter, King has been at the club since Under-12 level, progressing through the Academy to make his first-team debut against KuPS Kuopio in the UEFA Conference League in 2025/26.
It proved a landmark season for the defender, who was also named U21 Player of the Season after establishing himself as a commanding presence at the back with a natural eye for goal.
The Jersey Mike’s Trophy brings together League One and League Two clubs with 16 Category One academies, giving young players the chance to test themselves against senior professionals in a competitive environment.
An injury disrupted his start to the current campaign, but King marked his full return after the September-October international break with a goal against Anderlecht in the Premier League International Cup.
Now back in action, King could help his boyhood club reach new ground as Palace travel to the League Two side for their final Group E fixture, knowing victory guarantees progression to the knockout stages for the first time in Academy history.
"I think it'll be a big challenge, especially playing against a League Two side, but if we stick to the game plan and play to our strengths, I think we'll give ourselves a really good chance of getting a result," he said.
