The Eagles will be looking to build on Thursday’s 2-2 draw away to Beşiktaş as they turn their attention back to domestic matters. But what’s the latest from the Newcastle camp ahead of their trip to South London?
In their manager's words...
Newcastle appointed Matthias Jaissle over the summer following Eddie Howe's departure, with the German arriving on Tyneside after successful spells with Red Bull Salzburg and Al-Ahli.
However, the Magpies have endured an inconsistent start to the campaign, with last weekend's defeat to Aston Villa leaving them with three losses in their last four league games.
During his pre-match press conference, Jaissle discussed Newcastle's preparations for Sunday's trip to Selhurst Park and the importance of responding to their recent results.
"It was a week we were fully committed to what we want to develop,” said Jaissle. “We found things we can do better clearly in the post-match analysis and we have been working on themes.
"At Crystal Palace, we want to show another phase to get three points."
