Jo Potter on Spurs: There is more than one way to win a game
Palace Women's Manager Jo Potter has spoken to the media ahead of Sunday's clash against Spurs at Selhurst Park.
The Palace Manager opened with a positive squad fitness update and shared her excitement ahead of returning to Selhurst Park.
Potter said: "No fresh injuries. We'll hopefully have a full squad ready to go for Sunday.
"It's great to be back at Selhurst. The players have got some great memories there... It's a good chance to get back there early in the season and hopefully put on a good performance."
Her side have enjoyed a good start to life in the Barclays Women's Super League, beating Everton on the opening matchday before a hard-fought draw away at Arsenal last Sunday.
The Palace Manager spoke about the good start, and how important it is for the players to stay grounded.
Potter said: "The players are an honest bunch. We know what this league's all about and we know it can change very quickly. We know that we didn't have the best of starts to our league campaign last year, and it ended very differently.
"We've got that lived experiences of how quickly things can change. We know that this league's ruthless and that it can change very quickly.
"We're keeping our feet on the ground, we don't get too high and we don't get too low in those moments."
Palace have shown two very different sides of their game so far this season; creating regularly against Everton whilst defending resolutely against Arsenal.
Potter reflected on how important adaptability is to her gameplans.
"I mentioned before the season started that we needed to be adaptable and show different sides to our game.
"We definitely feel we've got the squad to do that. We've got threats at both ends of the pitch and managed to strengthen in those areas.
"We want to be a team that can play different ways. I don't think there's just one way to win a football game... If you play the same way every week, you can be found out quite easily," she said.

A key part of Palace's defence last week was goalkeeper Pauline Peyraud-Magnin, with the Manager heaping praise on our France international.
She said: "I think a lot of people commented that her transfer went under the radar, but we said we wanted experience to bring into this squad for this league, and she definitely has that.
"It's great to have a keeper between the sticks making save after save in moments like Sunday, that's exactly why you bring her in."
Potter also spoke about her counterpart Martin Ho, and how the Lilywhites have gone from strength to strength in recent years.
She said: "Tottenham are a really strong outfit - they keep getting stronger each transfer window.
"You can see the quality and efficiency of the players they bring in, and they've got a style of play that's difficult to go against with how intense they play.
"Martin's done an excellent job. Wherever he's been, he's shown that expectation of wanting to win football games... He took Spurs onto the next level with the backing of the club.
"What they've shown over the last few years is their consistent ability to push and grow their squad and team, not just on the pitch, but off the pitch. That's the way we want to go and follow suit."
