An early dismissal for Fuka Tsunoda left the Eagles with 10 players for the majority of the match.
After a goalless opening 45 minutes, fatigue would tell in the second-half and the game ended 7-0 to the visitors.
Speaking after the game, Potter said: "There's a lot for us to look at that because we never accept conceding that amount of goals in 45 minutes, let alone in 90.
"It's a tough one to take immediately after, as I think we regrouped pretty well [after the red card].
"The girls dug in and held themselves accountable in the first-half, but we conceded too early in the second-half.
"I think you could see it took took the wind out of them, but after that we shouldn't concede that amount of goals."
