She watched her team go in 1-0 up at the break, after Molly Bartrip opened the scoring from a corner against the eight-time Women's Super League champions.
Despite an excellent first-half from Palace, the visitors rallied and ran out 3-1 winners in the end.
Sharing her thoughts at full-time, Potter said: "I'm extremely disappointed, I'm gutted for the girls because we lost it in a few moments but we've shown so much more in that game than what we've shown in previous games.
"There's a couple of lapses of concentration, maybe in some decision-making at certain moments, two sloppy goals in the second-half.
"I know [Melvine] Mallard scored a wonderful goal but it's come from a throw-in where she's just been allowed to turn, get the ball and strike.
"So there's moments like that that we need to get rid of, but I thought on transition we looked much cleaner, much better with possession and it's something for us to build on."
