All over here. Palace lose out in a five-goal thriller despite so nearly salvaging a point. Reaction to follow.

Goal: Palace 2-3 Ipswich
I can't believe it. Against the run of play Ipswich have snatched it. A ball is hung up towards Davis, his looping header is back off the post, but in the scramble Flemming turns the ball home. Palace will have to come back again.

...of normal time that is. I still think we'll get a decent amount of injury-time. The Eagles are going for this, but we just have to remain switched on at the back.

It doesn't feel like a goal is round the corner, but hopefully I'm tempting fate. The Eagles need a big finish here. Dwight McNeil has been warming-up and could soon be called upon.

Super save to from Benítez. The Argentine gets down low to hold onto Clarke's shot, after a clever team move from the visitors.
49'
Mitchell is down
Tyrick takes a nasty-looking bump after jumping for a header. Thankfully he looks fine to carry on for now.

Palace trail at the break with ten men. Work to do.

Ipswich win a corner
Clarke has been a real nuisance so far. He wins Ipswich a corner.... but Palace manage to deal with it as Richards heads clear.
46'
Here we go....
The teams are back out and Palace are ready to get us back underway. Can the Eagles find a way back into this one? They've certainly got plenty of time!

That goal has shifted momentum
Ipswich are growing into this game now and having a bit of possession. That goal has probably given their confidence levels a boost. Palace need to steady things...
24'
Goal - Palace 1-1 Ipswich
The visitors are level. Davis looked like he might have been offside in the build-up, but replays show he isn't. The full-back whips in a wonderful cross and Emersonn bullets a header past Benítez. Game on.

It's no less than Palace deserve... as I write that Strand Larsen forces and excellent save from Scherpen. Palace have a corner and are in the groove.

We're underway!
After one final shout to be loud, be proud and be Palace, the game gets rolling. Ipswich kick us off.
Here come the two teams!
I'm feeling GLAD ALL OVER. Let's hope for another big performance from Palace!
Joel Ward's view on today's game via BBC radio
"Today's going to be a real test but with the quality that Palace have, I think they'll come out on top. Ipswich are going to pose their threats, a little bit fragile defensively, but they'll put up a fight on the attack."
Warm-ups complete...
The Eagles head back down the tunnel to a great noise from the Holmesdale end. We're not far away now!
We knew that Eddie Nketiah was a doubt. We tried yesterday but his pre-match test was not good. For Jaydee Canvot, it was a sporting decision. And for our ‘keeper Dean Henderson, he sustained an injury before the season against Freiburg and now it’s too much for him [to play]. He needs some recovery and he’ll maybe be back with us during the international break.
Quotes on the way from the boss
Pierre Sage explaining today's team news coming shortly...
Intriguing team news from Palace!
So, Dean Henderson misses out through injury, but Palace can still call on a ‘keeper with international experience this afternoon as Walter Benítez starts again. He kept a clean sheet in the week against Middlesbrough – can he do so again today? It’s also a first Premier League start for Honest Ahanor.
A very warm welcome back to Selhurst Park as Palace take on Ipswich Town in the first Saturday 3pm home game of the new season! We'll bring you updates throughout the afternoon here. Come on you Eagles!!
