A rampant first-half display sees the Young Eagles cruise to victory on the road!

Donte Martin’s hat-trick headlines a six-goal showing, with Remi Shittu, Hugo Bull and returning-from-injury Makai Bernard-Ferguson also on target.

That’s back-to-back wins and three games unbeaten for Javier Alonso’s side!

With ten minutes remaining, the game has opened up into an end-to-end affair. Bernard-Ferguson shows neat footwork to turn and drive into the right channel before going to ground, but the referee waves away his appeals for a penalty.

Ipswich threaten from a dangerous corner as Boakye-King rattles the crossbar, but Palace continue to push forward, with Bernard-Ferguson and Williams both going close to extending our lead.

Alonso makes several changes, particularly across the backline, and Ipswich find a way through on 70 minutes as Atherton produces an excellent finish from a tight angle. Palace look to respond immediately, but Owoade drags his one-on-one effort wide...

Honestly, it's all happening!

Greaves wins back possession and feeds Fasida, who threads a perfectly weighted pass into Bernard-Ferguson’s path on the left of the area. Returning from injury, the forward keeps his composure to stroke the ball beyond the ‘keeper and celebrate his goal!

Introduced at half-time, he rounds the 'keeper but his effort rolls agonisingly wide of the far post.

Palace race into a three-goal lead inside 16 minutes, with Donte Martin chipping home Lee’s through ball before Shittu volleys in Fasida’s pinpoint cross and Martin taps home after Owoade capitalises on Ipswich’s high press.

Ruben Carr pulls one back against the run of play, but Palace respond in style as Lamidi drives a flowing move that ends with Martin rifling home to complete his hat-trick. Hugo Bull then rounds off a scintillating half, sweeping home Owoade’s low cross to send the Young Eagles into the break with a commanding 5-1 lead!

Owoade drills a low cross across the face of goal, where Bull times his run to perfection and sweeps home!

Brilliant from Lamidi, whose marauding run takes him past a sea of blue shirts before he tees up Anderson. The winger cuts it back for Lamidi to cleverly help the ball into Martin’s path, and he rifles home!

Owoade pounces on a loose pass, drives into the box and squares for Martin to tap into the empty net!

Fasida’s delivery from the right is inch-perfect, picking out the onrushing Shittu, who delicately prods home on the volley from a few yards out!

Lee lifts a perfectly weighted ball in behind, and Martin maintains his composure to chip it over the onrushing 'keeper.

Play resumes after a brief stoppage for Dotun Lamidi to receive treatment, with the wing-back able to continue.

Fasida’s outswinging corner is only half-cleared to Lee, whose strike is parried away before Anderson pounces on the rebound – but his follow-up crashes against the post!

Out come the two sides to line up for the handshakes. One last look around the Ipswich Town Training Centre... and we’re nearly ready to go. Come on, Palace!

That’s the warm-up done! The Eagles head back inside as we count down to kick-off...

The two sides are out on the pitch, with final preparations underway. The goalkeepers are working through their drills, the outfield players are stretching and kick-off is edging closer...

Javier Alonso made one change to the Young Eagles’ starting XI for their latest U18 Premier League South fixture, with Daniel Owoade coming in for Nat Kalembo.

Under-16 goalkeeper Louis Fox was named on the bench for his first U18 matchday squad, while U21s forward Makai Bernard-Ferguson continued his return from injury after missing the start of the season.

The Young Eagles compete in the U18 Premier League South, the top level of youth football for Category One academies in England.

The competition is split into northern and southern sections, with Palace playing 30 matches against 15 southern opponents, home and away.

The section now features 16 clubs after AFC Bournemouth and Brentford gained Category One status ahead of the new season, while Leicester City moved to the northern section.

At the end of the campaign, the northern and southern section winners meet to decide the national champions.

The Young Eagles have won once in their opening league fixtures, beating West Ham United 3-0, but are still looking for their next victory. Last time out, they fought back from three goals down to snatch a 3-3 draw with Fulham, courtesy of superb strikes from Jamar Lee, Dotun Lamidi and Donte Martin. Can they go one better today?
