With Aston Villa having beaten Nottingham Forest 6-0, Palace now sit level on three points with Forest in Group D, ahead on goal difference with one fixture remaining. Victory over Villa on Saturday, 7th November will put the Young Eagles in a strong position to reach the knockout stages.

For now, Alonso’s side can take confidence from a dominant display and their first victory since the opening day of the U18 Premier League South campaign, when they beat West Ham United - well done, lads!

The head coach introduces more attacking firepower, with Nas Campbell, Kayden Moses and Toby Williams among those brought on to help Palace add to their tally. Greaves almost nets, but his effort from the right of the area is kept out by a good save from Woods.

Martin is sent clear away on goal and maintains his composure to lift it over the onrushing 'keeper to extend our advantage to three goals!!!

Greaves' tenacity almost pays dividends as he beats the defender for pace to latch onto Kalembo's through ball, but the resulting shot is blocked.

Palace break at pace and Anderson comes close to grabbing our third, but grazes the near post.

Palace have been utterly dominant, creating chance after chance to deservedly establish a two-goal cushion. But their recent meeting with Tottenham serves as a warning: despite leading 2-0 at the break, the Young Eagles went on to lose 4-2. This time, they need to make sure their first-half superiority counts.

Palace still aren't letting up as Anderson stings the palms of Wood from range and Greaves flashes across the face of goal for Martin to miscue over the bar - the offside flag sparring his blushes. What's been really impressive is how the Young Eagles have controlled the ball and the speed at which they have won it back.

We're approaching the final third of the half and the Young Eagles could easily have five or six goals to their name. Leeds are struggling to cope with wave after wave of attacks, with Martin emerging as Palace's main threat – he's been denied one-on-one again, Anderson has gone down appealing for a penalty, and the shots and crosses keep coming. Relentless from the Eagles!

Martin works the ball out wide to Greaves, who lifts the ball deliciously across the face of goal for the onrushing Anderson to power home close-range with a brilliant header!

Fasida whips a set-piece into the area from the left flank, it's cleared, but only as far as Lamidi, who drives goalbound and it's turned home brilliantly by Martin at the far post - so, so, so good!

Martin is threaded through one-on-one and gets his shot away, but the goalkeeper is quickly off his line to make a good stop – with the effort also rattling the post!

... and it falls to Palace! Lamidi forces a turnover in a dangerous area before squaring for Anderson, whose strike is straight at the goalkeeper.

Fresh from England U17s duty, Lucca Benetton returns in goal in place of Rosen Modev. Hugo Bull makes his first appearance of the season after a lengthy injury lay-off, partnering Remi Shittu in central defence as Dylan Monk and Alfie Mulvenna make way. Nat Kalembo replaces Kwasi Baah at full-back, while Jamar Lee comes in for Arthur O’Keefe in the No. 10 role.

Palace lifted the U18 Premier League Cup for the first time in the club’s history last season, beating Manchester United 6-5 on penalties in a dramatic final in front of 4,000 supporters at Selhurst Park. Now, Alonso’s side are fighting to keep their hopes of retaining the trophy alive.

The U18 Premier League Cup features eight groups of four, with only the winner of each section progressing to the quarter-finals.
