Yañez joined Palace in the summer of 2024, ahead of our debut campaign in the Barclays Women’s Super League. Since then, the former London City Lionesses and Bristol City stopper has made 46 appearances in all competitions.
Yañez was ever-present in our promotion-winning campaign last season, starting in every league game and keeping six clean sheets.
Her fine season in the net was recognised at the 2025/26 WSL Football Awards, where her stunning stop against Birmingham City in December was voted as the British Gas Save of the Season.
Manager Jo Potter said: “Shae really stepped up last season and was a big part of our success. We will need her experience between the sticks again, as we prepare to take on the WSL.”
Upon signing her new contract, Yañez said: “I am beyond thrilled to have signed a new contract with the club.
“I’m really excited for what’s in store for next season and look forward to growing alongside a great group of people.”
