Who's in the Europa League this season?
There are 36 different teams in this season's UEFA Europa League league phase, with Palace earning their spot as Conference League winners last season.
Direct qualifiers from their respective leagues include Italy's AC Milan and Juventus; Spain's Real Sociedad and Celta Vigo; Germany's Hoffenheim and Bayer Leverkusen; France's Marseille and Rennes; and, of course, the Premier League's Bournemouth and Sunderland.
Some 11 sides qualified for the Europa League after failing to advance in the Champions League qualifiers, among them Celtic (Scotland), Dinamo Zagreb (Croatia), Olympiakos (Greece) and Sparta Prague (Czechia).
And there are even some strong prospects for the trophy who went through Europa League qualifying, including Benfica (Portugal); Anderlecht (Belgium); and Besiktas (Turkey).
It's a star-studded competition indeed.
What pot are Palace in?
Following the completion of the Champions League and Europa League play-off rounds this week, pots have now been confirmed for the draw.
The pot placements are based on the club's UEFA club coefficient ranking from the five-season period ending at the conclusion of 2025/26.
As relative European newcomers, Palace will be in pot 3 for the draw, along with fellow Premier League sides Bournemouth and Sunderland.
How does the draw work?
In the league phase, each team will face eight different teams once, with four home matches and four away matches.
Each team will face two teams from each of the four pots, and cannot face a team from the same country as themselves.
As with the Conference League draw last season, rather than done by the drawing of numbers, the draw is executed fully digitally, through a designated automated software, reviewed and checked by an appointed external auditor.
The subsequent fixture list – with match dates and kick-off times – will subsequently be communicated by UEFA no later than Sunday, 30th August.
