It was a mixed bag in terms of availability for Sage, but he did receive a boost in the form of Anan Khalaili.
The wing-back picked up an injury during the international break with Israel, but has recovered in time to be available for the visit of Forest.
Jean-Philippe Mateta is also back in training, having not played since the opening day defeat against Everton, but Sage said Sunday's game would come slightly too soon for the French forward.
But in a boost to his attacking options, the Manager also confirmed that Ismaïla Sarr will be available for selection.
"Anan Khalaili is ready to play 90 minutes," Sage told his pre-match press conference. "For [Jean-Philippe] Mateta it was his first training with us, but it’s a good step.
“He was out a long time, but it’s a good sign both for him and also for us.
“He will not be available for the game this weekend, and it’s the same for Dean Henderson and Takehiro Tomiyasu.
"But we expect all three of them to come back for Lyon, or Brighton (the following Sunday, 18 October).
"Ismaïla Sarr is now able to start. He had his best session for us this week and I hope we can 're-find' the player."
