Team News: Three changes for Palace against Hoffenheim
Pierre Sage has made three changes to his Crystal Palace starting XI for this evening’s UEFA Europa League visit of TSG Hoffenheim.
The Eagles welcome back Quinten Timber – injured for four matches – back to the centre of midfield, with Daichi Kamada likely to be pushed further forward and Dwight McNeil moving to the bench.
On the right side of the pitch, Óscar Mingueza moves to the bench, with Anan Khalaili back in the starting XI.
And at the heart of defence, Honest Ahanor comes into the side for Axel Disasi.
Palace are otherwise unchanged from the side which fell to defeat at Tottenham Hotspur on Saturday evening, having played the vast majority of the match with 10 men.
Among the substitutes, young defender Nat Kalembo – who last week celebrated his 16th birthday – appears in a competitive senior matchday squad for the very first time, having also been on the bench in the recent friendly against Bristol City.
Christian Ilzer makes two changes to the Hoffenheim XI who lost at Werder Bremen on Saturday.
The injured Adam Hložek makes way, as does Adam Daghim. In come Alexander Prass and Tim Lemperle, out wide and up front respectively.
Palace: Henderson (GK), Richards, Canvot, Ahanor, Khalaili, Timber, Wharton, Mitchell, Kamada, Pino, Mateta.
Subs: Benítez (GK), Benetton (GK), Mingueza, Kalembo, Williams, McNeil, Osorio, Nketiah, Strand Larsen.
