Experienced FPL managers will already know that Mitchell is a good investment for their FPL teams. Of the current Palace squad, he was the Eagles' top FPL points scorer last season with 135 points.
He created 29 chances, had 19 attempts on goal and registered 12 clean sheets, as well as 12 Defensive Contribution points.
Best of the Rest
Bruno Fernandes (£12.0m) was the top-scoring FPL player in Gameweek 2. The Manchester United midfielder scored three goals and registered 23 FPL points. 1.7 million managers captained the midfielder with a further 34,000 handing him the Triple Captain armband.
Brighton’s Pascal Gross (£5.5m) and Nottingham Forest’s Morgan Gibbs-White (£7.9m) both registered 13-points in Gameweek 2. Gross scored, registered an assist and returned all three bonus points in Brighton’s defeat to Cheslea, meanwhile Gibbs-White did the same in Forest’s draw with Liverpool.
Gameweek 3 opposition: Fulham
Palace face Fulham in Gameweek 3. Fulham’s top scoring FPL player is Timothy Castagne (£4.5m).
The defender was substituted before the clean sheet was lost in Gameweek 2 meaning that he still registered the four clean sheet points.
Pro Tip
Managers are given four FPL Chips to use in the opening half of the season.
The Wildcard allows managers to change as many members of their squad as they want without costing any additional points.
The Free Hit allows managers to change their full squad for a single gameweek. At the end of the Free Hit week the managers original squad will return.
The Bench Boost means that the scores that players register on a manager’s bench will be counted into their total for the gameweek that the chip is active.
The final chip is the Triple Captain. When this chip is active the managers captain score will be doubled rather than tripled.
Gameweek 3 could be a good week for managers to deploy a chip. Managers who have had a poor start to the season, could play their Wildcard, especially now the transfer window has closed so we have knowledge of the full Premier League squads.
The Triple Captain could also be a good option for Gameweek 3 with Erling Haaland (£15.5m) at home to Coventry City.
