Recalling the stoppage-time winner from Eddie Nketiah in the same fixture last season, Pino believes the role of the fans in helping the team over the line was crucial.
“We beat them in the last minute, and the main thing I remember from that game is how amazing the atmosphere was that day.” Pino said.
“The fans are incredible and when there is non-stop support like that, it’s amazing to experience.”
Fresh from winning the World Cup, the 24-year-old has featured in all 14 games so far this season, scoring four times. While believing there is more to give in a Palace shirt, Pino says he’s playing his best football.
“Personally, it has been a good start for me," he said. I feel comfortable and that I am in a good condition, physically.
"Last year was adaptation for me and this year I feel more settled – the truth is that for me, this is the best moment of my career.
“The Manager is a good person, firstly. I feel very comfortable playing for him; he gives me freedom on the pitch and that has helped me feel good so far this season.”
