Blanchard wondergoal nominated for Barclays Goal of the Month

It was a stalemate at the King Power stadium against Leicester City until Blanchard collected the ball outside the box, played an intricate one-two with Katie Stengel and guided the ball into the bottom right corner.

This was Palace Women's first ever goal in the top flight, and it was certainly one to remember.

The goal is up against efforts from Liverpool’s Cornelia Kapocs and Marie Höbinger; Manchester City’s Khadija Shaw and Lauren Hemp; Arsenal's Caitlin Foord; Manchester United's Elisabeth Terland; Leicester City's Yūka Momiki; and Chelsea's Johanna Rytting Kaneryd.

The nomination goes alongside Blanchard's nomination for Barclays WSL Player of the Month.
