Fleming Steps Up To First Team Coach

18 July 2012

Crystal Palace are delighted to announce that Curtis Fleming has become the club's new first team coach.

Curtis joined the club just over a year ago as Development Coach and steps up into the role ahead of the 2012/13 season.

Palace manager Dougie Freedman said: “Curtis has already become a big asset for this club and I’m delighted to have him move into this new role.  He has already racked up a wealth of coaching experience and I’ve no doubt he will be a fantastic appointment for the club.“

The position of Development Coach will be filled by Jamie Fullarton who joins the club from Bristol Rovers where he was the club’s Youth Team Coach. Jamie will take charge of the development side at Palace with responsibility for the 18-21 age group and brings with him a wealth of coaching experience and passion for the job.

Fullarton will be familiar to a number of Palace fans having spent three years at the club as a player and Freedman expressed his pleasure at welcoming another coach with the club at heart, saying:

“Jamie is a very highly rated young coach and I’m really pleased to have added to him my team. Having been a Palace player he knows exactly what this club is about and it was in part that connection that enabled us to bring him here from Bristol. I look forward to working closely with him to bring through the next group of young players from our academy.”
